Now MTNA subscribers can browse Facebook and communicate on WhatsApp with 6 new social bundles from MTN.

Facebook bundles are used for Facebook mobile application, Facebook messenger and www.m.facebook.com where as the WhatsApp bundles are used for WhatsApp mobile application only.

In order to keep our customers happy, we offer the block and unblock option to the customer. Subscribers can now choose to block all unwanted traffic sent and received by their smart phone applications without the consent of subscribers and they can choose to unblock it at any time.

Up on subscription to any of the social bundles, MTNA will block all unwanted traffic of the subscriber. Subscriber will not be able to browse any website or application that requires internet except for Facebook or WhatsApp. Subscribers can un-block their normal traffic by sending 81 to 344 or block their normal traffic again by sending 82 to 344. The same options are available on *344# USSD platform.

Subscribers are now informed of their remaining data at different stages of the social bundles. The system will send a message to inform subscribers of their remaining data on 90 and 100% consumption of their Facebook or WhatsApp bundles. These SMS are in Dari and Pashto.

Social bundles have priority over all other bundles including the off-peak bundles. In case a subscriber has a social bundle and a normal bundle, the social bundle will be used for Facebook or WhatsApp only and the normal bundle will be use for the rest.

Only the daily social bundles have auto renewal. The bundle is renewed up on expiry. Subscribers are notified for the renewal of the bundles through SMS in Dari and Pashto. Subscriber can choose to de-activate the auto renewal function by sending DWA for WhatsApp and DFB for Facebook bundles.

Subscribers are able to subscribe to more than one bundle at a time. In case a subscriber has a daily, a weekly and a monthly social bundle all at one time. The first priority is given to the daily, then the weekly and last to the monthly social bundle.

Subscribers can check their remaining data by sending 7 to 344 or by dialing *344#.

What will happens if I have a Facebook bonus from daily 200MB bundle or monthly 4GB bundle and subscribe to a Facebook bundle?

The Facebook bonus has priority over the Facebook bundles. You will have to consume your bonus in order to be able to use your Facebook bundle.

What will happen to my remaining data if I subscribe to the same social bundle again and again?

In case you have data left in your existing bundle then your new bundle will add to your existing bundle and the validity period will reset to the maximum validity of the subscribed bundle. The daily social bundle will accumulate with the daily bundle only. Same goes for the weekly and monthly social bundles.

Can I benefit from the social bundles on a hotspot?

No, the social bundles can only be benefited from on a mobile device, specifically for WhatsApp or Facebook mobile applications, Facebook messenger and www.m.facebook.com

How long is the validity of the Daily Social bundles?

Unlike the normal daily bundles the daily social bundles have a validity of 24 hours.

How much is the validity of the block which is added with the social bundles?

The block added with subscription to a social bundle has same validity as the bundle. If you remove the block and added again manually, it will have unlimited validity, unless removed by you.

I am not able use browse other websites after subscribing to the social bundles despite having a normal bundle?

Up on subscription to the social bundles all other traffic is blocked. You will have to SMS 81 to 344 to be able to use your normal bundles again.

Will I be able to make VoIP calls and share multimedia with social bundles?

Yes, there are no restrictions over any type of multimedia or VoIP call.
