MTN Wins Telecom Company of the Year

We announce with pleasure and gratitude that MTN has received a much-coveted industry accolade, beating its competitors to become the Telecom Company of the Year.This award, presented in London by the Commonwealth Business Council (CBC) during the African Business Awards, recognizes MTN’s excellence in the field of telecommunications and the impact the company has made on the industry, its workforce, the community at large and the impact of its business on the economy as a whole.

The winners of the CBC African Business Awards are also recognized for their contribution to developing new markets, achieving strong and sustained corporate performance in terms of sales, profits and capital growth, transforming perceptions of Africa in global markets and displaying high standards of good corporate citizenship. In addition, the awards recognize the efforts of the African business community in fulfilling their social responsibility in regards to delivering social and economic benefits to local communities, achieving gender equality and promoting environmental protection.
