Job SummaryJob Summary

To generate new business while maximizing revenue for the organization by selling its products & services to the retail Channel, to achieve sales targets and service levels within the specified region,

Duties & ResponsibilitiesDuties & Responsibilities

Key Tasks: 

  • Supervise retail team
  • Implement sales strategy, Plan and implement regional/area specified sales action plans (making sales plan for each CSR in order to achieve the assigned TGT till end of each month)
  • Monitor and analyze sales trends to identify new prospects and sales opportunities for the region ( monitoring the CSRs based on their monthly Beat plan & sending the high population area list for Network team for more coverage in order to increase the No of retailers and customers )
  • Coordinate regional sales activities and ensure synergy with other activities within and outside the department
  • Promote MTN brand visibility within the region with available resources ( in KBL we have Temp for branding and visibility and for the regions our CSRs are pasting poster & banners which Supervisor monitoring the branding status in the area
  • Ensure distribution and effective usage of brand items and signage to dealers
  • link with Marketing to organize events and promotions towards improving awareness of the MTN brand ( once or twice a year we have retail party which Liaise with the MRK department we are installing some banners & posters for more awareness of customers and retailers in the event )
  • Manage growth and profitability of the retailers
  • Ensure targets of the retailers are met
  • Ensure correct distribution of stock among retailers
  • Ensure retailers provide positive subscriber experience at point of purchase
  • Ensure retailers receive necessary training required to maximize sales within the region (In case of decreasing we are giving related training for retailers In order to avoid those errors to increase their sales)
  • Ensure correct distribution of stock among distributers/retailers.( after confirmation of available stock with warehouse Supervisor sending demand list to distribution team based on their assigned territory demand & send the demand list of retailers to the concerned distributer for dispatching )
  • Provide communication link between MTN and the retailers in the region
  • Oversee updated database of retail participants and monitor for integrity ( updating the retailers retail base database twice a year on the Concerned CSRs in order to have the complete info of concerned retailers )
  • Ensure retail participants are equipped with knowledge of MTN products for seamless exchange with the ultimate consumers ( Visiting the retail markets with the concerned CSRs in order to know the level of retailer knowledge on MTN products / CSRs communication level regarding MTN commission policy – new promos –benefits )
  • Review achievement of consumer sales Representatives
  • Monitor daily reports of consumer sales Representatives
  • Market visit with consumer sales Representatives
  • Build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships
  • Capture and review any competitive intelligence gathered (commission policy, promotional stuff used by competition etc.) and proactively communicates this information to marketing. ( having the responsibility of gathering info from retail market regarding competition activities and promos & share the same information. with Marketing dep. / with Sr managers and GM
