Your Mobile Money is protected by a Personal Identification Number (PIN) which you set yourself when you register for the service.
If you lose your phone, you should notify MTN straight away by either calling the helpline 799. But even if you don’t, your money is protected by a PIN which is secure so long as you haven’t shared it with anyone.
If at any time you want to cash-out your MoMo balance, you are free to go to any MTN Branded Store, or a MoMo Agent and request to cash out your balance.
There is no minimum balance for mobile money. You can cash out all your MoMo and have zero balance.
