In line with MTN Group corporate social investment policy and considering the current economic crisis and poverty in the country, MTN Afghanistan donated food items worth 800,000 Afghani to the orphans in ASRA orphanage.

MTN Afghanistan was the first organization that supported this Orphanage in the early stage of its founding during the 21 Days of Y’ello Care Campaign by establishing a well-equipped computer lab back in 2016 and later on, in 2018 campaign, MTN Afghanistan established a digital library for them as well.

These initiatives were highly appreciated by numerous organizations and attract several local and international donors to support.

Now, in current economic crisis, they are suffering for survival and lost all its donors and yet again, MTN Afghanistan supported them with the food items.

The donated items were included Basmati Rice, White Rice, Green Gram, Bean, Slit chickpeas, Chickpeas, Sugar, Cooking Oil, Green Tea, Black Tea and Macaroni.

The donation was handed over to ASRA orphanage through assigned committee on 19^th Oct 2022 in order to commemorate the world food day which is celebrating every year on 16^th October by United Nations.
